Referred to Us? Here's what to expect.

If your provider has referred you to uNITE Sleep Centers, you're on the path to better understanding your sleep health — and we’re here to make the process simple and supportive!

Depending on your provider’s recommendation, you’ll either have an overnight sleep study in our facility or a home sleep study you complete in the comfort of your own home. Here’s what to expect for each:

If you're scheduled for an in-lab study, you'll visit our state-of-the-art sleep facility for an overnight stay.
Your study will be conducted by experienced, registered polysomnographic technologists and licensed respiratory therapists who specialize in sleep diagnostics. Our rooms are private and designed to help you feel relaxed while we gather the data your provider needs.

If you're referred for a home sleep study, you'll stop by our office to pick up a small, wristwatch-like device to take home for 2 nights, returning the device to the office on the 3rd day. This appointment typically takes 15 minutes and includes:

• Device setup and instructions
• Completing any necessary paperwork
• Collection of estimated patient responsibility
   

Please bring your smartphone with you to the appointment — the device requires a compatible app to function properly.

 We will contact you after receiving your provider’s order, alerting you we have started the process.

Our expert insurance verification team will contact your insurance company to ensure accurate coverage information and authorization approvals, prior to scheduling. 

 Once we have the information we need from your provider and insurance company, we will give you a call to explain the testing procedure and get you on the schedule for your test! You'll also receive a reminder call days prior to your test to ensure you have all the information you need. 

Once testing is complete, the data is sent to one of our Board Certified Physicians for review and interpretation. Results and guidance will be given to your provider for next steps! Be sure to have a 'follow up' appointment scheduled with your provider to review your test results!
